Children's entertainment, by Circle H Christian Amusements, will include pony rides, a moon bounce, a trackless train, games and a petting farm.
Food and beverages will be available throughout the day. A rain date is planned for Sept. 28. Details: 386-736-3680.
`KISS ME, KATE' WRAPS UP
The Sands Theater Center in DeLand will wrap up its production of the Cole Porter musical, Kiss Me Kate, with three performances this weekend at the theater in the Cultural Arts Center, 600 N. Woodland Blvd.
The musical comedy, directed by Rosemary Sutton, is about a touring production of The Taming of the Shrew that almost closes when a tempestuous diva and her ex-husband are thrown together on stage. Toss in a couple of mobsters trying to collect a gambling debt and the situation on both sides of the curtain heats up.
Performances are set for 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students. Reservations: 386-736-7456.
DINNER AND VARIETY SHOW
The Downtown Opry will present a dinner and variety show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Seaside Music Theatre, 176 N. Beach St., Daytona Beach.
The show, directed and hosted by Jennifer McGill, will feature songs from the 1950s, '60s and '70s, including the Johnny Mathis hits "When I Fall in Love" and "Chances Are."
Other performances will be by Phaze 3, Shawn James, Firecracker 4, Michaela Rose, Barclay Stone, Megan Stackpoole, Glenda Smith, Sarah Spencer, Theresa DiOrio, Randy Stone and Jack Kapanka.
Seating will be cabaret-style, and Martinis on the Bay will serve a limited menu, plus hors d' oeuvres and cocktails before and during the show.
Seating is limited to 180 people, and tickets cost $20, $15 or $13. Reservations: 386-672-6500 or 386-252-6200.
